Marcia O’Donovan Pearce, MA, RYT-200, is the Philanthropy Advisor for The Give Back Yoga Foundation. With a decade-and-a-half of experience in higher education and healthcare major gift development, comprehensive capital campaign oversight and nonprofit consulting, she seeks to balance those experiences with compassionate service to vulnerable populations.
She has served in philanthropy leadership roles with the University of Northern Colorado, Baptist Health Wolfson Children’s Hospital, Florida State University and the University of Florida. Marcia is committed to field mission work, and served in pre- and post-earthquake Haiti. After almost 20 years of exploring the healing offerings of a varied yoga practice, she became a certified yoga instructor through the Baptiste methodology in 2012. She has since volunteered with K-9s for Warriors, Children’s Home Society, a women’s state prison and homeless and mental health organizations.
Marcia completed James Fox’s Prison Yoga Project training and obtained certification as a Mental Health First Aid responder in 2014. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Public Relations from the University of Florida, and a Master of Arts in Library and Information Science from the University of South Florida.
