About this talk

The COVID-19 pandemic has been particularly challenging for children with special needs and their caregivers. Social distancing and restrictions have greatly reduced the availability of therapeutic care services, and as a result many children are experiencing increased anxiety and in some cases a significant decrease in physical well-being. In this presentation, Jyoti Jo Manuel — Founder of Special Yoga — will demonstrate yoga tools designed specifically for children with special needs. She will explore how therapeutic yoga can help these children increase motor coordination, improve physical strength, and gain the sensory tools they need to function and thrive. Discover how these practices can increase children’s immunity, foster emotional stability and soothing, and bring balance to their often fragile energetic systems.
