White Paper Editor
Lezlie Laws is Editor for Give Back Yoga’s white paper series, authoritative articles that explore issues related to the practice of yoga. She works closely with thought leaders in the field to create documents that elucidate the transformative effects of yoga.
Dedicated to the study of language, story, and spirit as they are shaped in literature and in relationships, Lezlie holds an MA in English from North Texas State University and a PhD from the University of Missouri-Columbia. She has taught English and directed writing programs, first at the University of Missouri, and the last 26 years as professor of English at Rollins College in Winter Park, FL.
Now, she devotes her energies fully to her lifelong passion: the study of mind, body, and spirit and how they unite to create conscious living. Through LifeArt Studio, LLC, she offers workshops, coaching, and retreats designed to cultivate the conditions, skills, and attitudes that support artful, passionate, and purposeful living and creating.
The foundations of Astanga yoga infuse her living, her teaching, and her art. A student of Beryl Bender Birch and Calvin and Theresa Curameng, she holds certification in teaching Astanga yoga from the Hard and the Soft Astanga Yoga Institute. She teaches and practices at College Park Yoga in Orlando, FL.
